The Benefits of a Systems Engineering Approach:
How to reduce risks and improve performance in medical device development.

Engineering does well when we deal with the core sciences of engineering disciplines; mass, physics, chemistry. But when we start to use the most common drivers of cost, schedule and risk it shifts from a question of correctness to a battle of wills between the business needs and the experience of the engineers. In this presentation Cameron walks through common methods to change that conversation back to data informed decision making to meet the needs of both.

Cameron Hendricks is the Pratt and Whitney Fellow for MBSE.  He started his career in 1997 working for Hughes Aircraft, and spent most of his career working government contracts for Raytheon, working with other government contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman and many other smaller contracts, and has spent a large part of his career analyzing and improving engineering performance.
