Title: INCOSE Working Groups – What’s In It for Me?

INCOSE working groups offer a rich opportunity to be engaged in the state of the art and state of the practice in systems engineering. The working group activities shape the future of systems engineering, explore new techniques, collaborate across disciplines and organizations, and develop INCOSE products designed for the systems engineering practitioner. As an expert in a discipline, participation in a working group provides an opportunity to apply this expertise to benefit all practitioners. As a novice in a discipline, participation in a working group provides an opportunity to learn how things really work. This presentation will highlight some working group activities and explain how you can get involved in working groups that are of interest to you.

Beth Wilson earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. She is retired from Raytheon where she worked for 33 years as a design engineer, program manager, research scientist, functional manager, and test director on sonar, satellite, and radar programs. She was a Raytheon Certified Architect and a Raytheon Certified Six Sigma Expert. Dr. Wilson is currently an Adjunct Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in their Masters of Systems Engineering program. She is an INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) and is a co-chair for the INCOSE Systems Security Engineering working group. She is also an active participant in the Agile Systems Engineering, System of systems, and Product Line Engineering working groups.
